How recommendations get made
Every tour on this site is sourced from one of three places:
- Operators we work with at ScalePact — including pricing data, customer-feedback patterns, and which experiences keep getting five-star reviews.
- Hands-on conversations with guides, dive masters, snorkel captains, and resort concierges across Belize.
- Viator booking data: which products have meaningful review counts, which ones consistently get high ratings, and which operators have a clean cancellation record.
We don't take payment to feature a tour. The booking links go through Viator, our affiliate booking partner. We earn a commission on bookings made through those links, at no extra cost to you. The commission rate is roughly equal across operators, so picks aren't influenced by it.
What we don't do
We don't operate tours. We don't take bookings directly. We don't run any of the boats, vans, lodges, or dive shops you might end up using. Booking goes through Viator with the operator's terms.
We also don't fabricate first-person travel anecdotes. If you read "the operators I work with in San Pedro tell me," that's real. If a piece says "I personally swam through the entire ATM cave system in 2019," it isn't, because that's not how I'd write something I didn't do.
